Dr. Tom Boorujy, DC

Dr. Tom Boorujy: New Jersey Chiropractor

Dr. Boorujy attended West Chester University in West Chester, PA where he majored in bio-chemistry. Dr. Boorujy then attended Life University in Marietta, GA where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Upon returning to New Jersey, Dr. Boorujy opened his first clinic in Whippany, NJ in 2002. He has gone on to open several other locations and his goal is to help as many people as possible. Dr. Boorujy’s offices provide a complete health and wellness experience for all of his patients.

Dr. Boorujy is married to his wife, Christine. They have a beautiful daughter, Ella. The Boorujy’s reside in Morris County, New Jersey.

Dr. Boorujy is an avid sports enthusiast. His teams include the New York Yankees, New York Giants and Los Angeles Lakers.

Dr. Andrew Sokol, DC


Andrew Sokol was born in Jersey City and raised in Teaneck, NJ. He graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fl and then attended LIFE Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA. Dr. Sokol has been in practice for over 24 years and subscribes to the diversified, full spine, Thompson-drop and Gonstead technique.

Andy is married to his wife Laurie for the past 29 years and they have 2 children, Jordanne, 26 and Jason, 19. In his spare time, Dr. Sokol is an avid fisherman and history buff. His largest catch to date is a 325 lb. Bluefin Tuna caught off the coast of North Carolina. When he isn’t fishing on his weekends, he spends time on the beach reading about military history. He and his family reside in Manalapan, NJ.

Dr. Alyssa George, DC

Dr. Alyssa George was born and raised in a small town in upstate New York. After spending her high school years as a competitive athlete, competing year round in swimming and basketball, Dr. George went on to earn a Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the State University of New York at Cortland. Following her graduation Dr. George was accepted into New York Chiropractic College where she achieved her Doctorate Degree. While studying at NYCC, Dr. George dedicated much of her time earning additional certifications and knowledge in nutrition, orthotics, treating infants and pregnant women, as well as many sports related certifications.

Dr. George has a strong passion for working with athletes. She specializes in sports related injuries and rehabilitation. Dr. George has experience treating Division I collegiate athletes, professional power lifters, and NFL players.

Dr. George believes in an evidence-based approach to Chiropractic care and is passionate about providing optimal care to improve the health and vitality of all of her patients.

Dr. Jamie Messina, DC

Jamie Messina

Dr. Jamie Messina was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. In high school he was a two sport athlete and was named an ECIC Division I all-star in both soccer and wrestling. After high school Dr. Messina went on to earn a Bachelor of Science concentrating in both Marketing and Biology from Daemen College. While attending college he coached wrestling at Cheektowaga Central Middle School for 3 seasons.

Following graduation Dr. Messina was accepted into New York Chiropractic College where he pursued his Doctorate. While studying at NYCC, Dr. Messina was dedicated to earning additional certificates and experience in nutrition, myofascial techniques, and sports related conditions. Dr. Messina later graduated from New York Chiropractic College as a member of the Phi Chi Omega Honor Society.

Dr. Messina believes in an evidence-based approach to Chiropractic care and focuses on optimizing the overall health of his patients. He believes that the individual health of his patients can be enhanced through exceptional care and education specific to their health.

Dr. Dennis Vella, DC

Dennis Vella - New York and New Jersey Licensed Chiropractor

Dr. Dennis Vella is a licensed New York State & New Jersey State Chiropractic Physician and has completed all examinations administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Dr. Vella has been practicing in the profession for over 10 years. He holds a B.S. Degree in Chemistry from Pace University and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta.

Dr. Vella continues his study of the discipline, having taken advanced courses in Concussion and Spinal Injury at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Vella is a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner, Certified Nutritional Consultant, and holds Sports Health Science Honors by Life University. Additionally he has completed extensive coursework in Physiological Therapeutics by New York Chiropractic College.

Dr. Vella is the former Dean of New York City programs at New York College of Health Professions where he launched and collaborated an internship program with Columbia University athletes at Baker Athletics Complex in NYC. Dr. Vella has also instructed hundreds of course hours at New York College and Adelphi University teaching science courses in Anatomy & Physiology, Neurology, Pathology, and Myology.

Dr. Vella is married to his wife, Jennifer. They have two beautiful children and currently resides in Manalapan, NJ.

Dr. Dino DeRobertis, DC

Dr. Dino DeRobertis was born and raised in Edison, New Jersey in an Italian house hold in which he learned the true value of family and respect towards others. Dr. DeRobertis attended Edison High school and spent most of his time playing basketball, and lacrosse which sparked a general interest in the aspects of physical conditioning. He has always been an advocate of healthcare, especially in the sports medicine field. After making the decision to pursue a career in health care, he moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic. He is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Chiropractic and Physiotherapy. Sherman’s educational approach focused on Chiropractic philosophy and specific adjusting techniques such as Diversified, Toggle, Flexion-Distraction, Pierce, and Activator Methods.

Dr. DeRobertis uses Chiropractic care, combined with a background in Physiotherapy, to improve the health and wellness of his patients in all aspects of their lives. Whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, want to improve their performance in physically related activities, or just want to generally start feeling better in their every day to day lifestyle activities, Dr. DeRobertis takes on a “whole body” approach with his patients. Dr. Benjamin Colten, DC

Dr. Benjamin Colten combines cutting edge neuroscience with modern Chiropractic techniques to help people reach their highest human potential. Dr. Colten takes a brain-based approach with each of his patients in order to give them an individual approach to their health.

His background includes exercise science, sports nutrition, athletic performance, and applied neurology. His goal is to teach people the foundations of healthy living principles and guide his patients on how to incorporate these teachings into their daily lives.

He has worked with patients of all ages, which range from children that are just months old, as well as players from the NFL, PGA, and MLB ,Currently, Dr. Colten is focusing his studies on soft tissue recovery techniques, neurological rehabilitation systems, and sports performance systems.

Dr. Angela Davenport, DC

Dr. Davenport was born and raised in a small town outside Toronto, Canada. From an early age, she gained a passion for competitive sports particularly in ice hockey. This led her to begin her academic career as a Sport Psychology major at Laurentian University. After completing her education there, she went on to get her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY. While studying at NYCC, she gained a further passion for treating sports injuries and helping athletes to reach their full athletic potential.

Dr. Davenport believes in an evidence-based approach to chiropractic care and optimal healthy living. She has over 5 years of experience working with multiple injuries and patients. She specializes in sports injuries, parental/postnatal care, pediatrics and overall wellness care.

Aristides Ruiz, L.Ac., MSTOM, BS


Aristides Ruiz is a Licensed acupuncturist and Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine. He specializes in traditional acupuncture as well as Tui Na (acupressure) treatments and case-specific customization of herbs. Aristides received his certification from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ. He continued his education in Beijing, China, and, prior to his calling to practice Eastern medicine, spent 5 years doing cancer research at the Center for Molecular Medicine and Immunology in Newark, NJ. Aristides is fluent in English and Spanish.

Nicole Hill, DPT

Nicole Hill - New Jersey Physical Therapist

Dr. Nicole Hill graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA with a B.S. in Business Management concentrating in sports marketing and special event management. After working in the sports industry field for the MLS team, NY RedBulls and several knee injuries/surgeries later, Nicole realized her true passion was rehabbing others to return to the sport they loved. It was then that Nicole decided to continue her education by earning her clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Dominican College. Nicole has treated athletes of all levels, including collegiate and professionals in the MLS.

As a former college athlete she can emphasize with the pain her patients may be dealing with, as well as understand their need to get back to normal as soon as possible. Nicole is an advocate of wellness and enjoys helping her patients understand what to expect during physical therapy as well as give them the tools to maximize their own recovery. Nicole’s specialties include utilization of McKenzie Method with her spine patients, as well as a diverse array of manual techniques to restore function in patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction. Aside from orthopedics, Nicole’s passion includes working with children with various diagnoses such as  low tone, high tone, downs syndrome, CP, infantile spasms, torticollis, sensory issues, and coordination disorders. When not at work, you might find Dr. Nicole snowboarding, enjoying time with friends and family, boating on the lake, camping, and traveling.

Thomas Mazorlig, L.Ac.

Thomas Mazorlig grew up on the Jersey Shore. He graduated Cornell University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Concentration in Anatomy and Physiology. Tom graduated from the Institute for Therapeutic Massage and became a massage therapist in 2002. He practiced massage therapy at Family First Chiropractic in Toms River, NJ and with a private client base for several years.

After experiencing the healing power of acupuncture first-hand, Tom decided to become an acupuncturist himself. In 2016, he graduated from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Bloomfield, NJ. In 2017, Tom obtained a Master’s of Acupuncture from Eastern School. At Eastern School, he learned Traditional Chinese acupuncture, Japanese acupuncture in the style of Kiiko Masamoto, and Five Element acupuncture.

After graduation, Tom practiced acupuncture at Ancient Arts Acupuncture in Little Silver, NJ and at Shore Acupuncture in Toms River, NJ. He joined the Maximum Health and Wellness team in June of 2017.

Tom has continued his studies in acupuncture by completing further course work in upper body orthopedics and electroacupuncture. Along with all types of pain, he is especially interested in the treatment of insomnia, anxiety,  depression, and autoimmune conditions.

Tom lives in Parlin NJ with his husband and their pets. Aside from learning more about acupuncture and Chinese medicine, he enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, and traveling.
